NUTRITION TIPS!

Flexible dieting, paleo, atkins, keto, what’s the best diet for you? True, all of these diets are perfect for someone with very specific goals. Most of us that are going to the box 4 to 5 times a week and our biggest fitness goal is to look good for summer don’t need something quite so drastic. At least not at first. It would be more beneficial for you to adopt good nutrition habits first and if/when you hit a plateau you can look into getting more specific with detailed macro plans and other methods. Here are 3 things you can do to get better nutrition habits.

1. Eat real food!!
Simply put - the more natural the food the better it is for your body. That Big Mac may “fit your macros”, but it doesn’t take into account how your body is going to process it or how it will affect other nutrients in your body.

2. Eat mostly vegetables!!
This is proof that mom is always right. If you want to grow up big and strong you have to eat your veggies. At a very minimum ⅓ of your plate should be vegetables. At every meal! YES! That includes breakfast!!

3. Eat lean meats!
Make sure you are getting your body weight in grams of protein. For Example if you weigh 165 pounds, you need to eat 165 grams of protein PER DAY!
